Before you purchase a computer either for the home usage or office usage, you must have some basic knowledge about the computer specification and it's peripherals and the software.    If you have the basic computer knowledge, you will be able to save some money and can buy the right thing for the right purpose, for example, you have the limited budget, you will have to buy lower specification computer and look for some of the legally free software available for download and when  buying some of the copyright software, some of the companies, sell the set of the software which might include some software that you do not use; compare the prices of the individual software and the set software, then choose the right one for your purpose. 

Purchasing  the computers for the office usage, you have to study the computers' peripherals and the copyright software usage charges, for example,  if there are six staff using the same database and software, you can purchase only one high specification and large capacity storage of hard disk with six monitors and six keyboards and buy the CPU sharing equipment, however, for the software copyright charges, you have to ask the software sellers how they charge for one CPU and six monitors.    If your six staff have to use the individual CPU and monitor, you may have to buy the router to share six CPU for one account high speed internet charge.  The speed of the internet will be fast or slow is up to the numbers of persons using it at the same time, in other words, the internet speed will be slow when there many people using it at the same time when you use the router.  

Office equipments.

You must have some basic knowledge of the office equipment also before making the decision to buy anything.  Some companies produce all-in-one office equipment; the price is much cheaper than buying the standalone equipment, but the capacity of some of the all-in-one office equipment is normally less than the standalone equipment, you have to study the capacity first to find out whether it suits your need or not, for example, the all-in-one printer+fax+scanner equipment, some producers have to use some space of the top or bottom for the fax header or footer automatic report which make you cannot set the top and bottom margins of the printing page like the standalone printer equipment, etc.
